Some anti capitalist MoNsTeRs!

This is a mock cover for the Guardian, a project taken last year. I was reading alot about capitalism in the news and the nihilistic ramblings of Hunter S. Thomspon, which depressed me..... what with all the wars and depleting resources.......Anyway i chose the alligator head based on Egyptian mythology (the anthropomorphic symbol of power). Hes stamping out the competition, and if you look closely enough, he has the symbol of the world bank on his belt buckle.
Heres some of the developmental drawings that spawned the final. They were chaotic and dense with imagery at first, but i decided to single out one character instead. Its all still in the egyptian pyramid theme.
